Weapons in Dark Frontiers: SEAX Blade

Seeking to provide a more cost-effective solution to the increasing number of hostile alien encounters, Chib Combat Dynamics designed the SEAX with energy efficiency and durability in mind. Featuring a self-sharpening monofilament edge, the SEAX is able to cut through most armoured alien exteriors rapidly and with ease.
While chunky in its design, the weapon features dynamic weighting, with which the user can adjust the balance of the weapon to suit their preferred combat style. Furthermore, the inbuilt sharpening system, which activates when the SEAX is in its folded state, reduces the need for ongoing maintenance.
The result is a compact melee weapon best suited for quick flurries of slashing or hacking strikes, and which is unlikely to get stuck in the target, thus making it a much superior choice of melee weapon than the MK II pickaxe. It has become a firm favourite among combat personnel, who appreciate that sometimes all a situation requires is a really big knife.
