The Dark Frontiers Economy

Dark Frontiers is gearing up to be one of the top play-to-earn games the space has seen so far. While the AAA graphics, high quality gameplay, and deep storyline will all help to set this game apart, the Dark Frontiers’ ecosystem is sure to be a highlighted feature of this flag-ship game.

$DARK TOKEN

Dark Frontiers is built on the Binance Smart Chain and utilizes its own BEP20 token, $DARK.

$DARK is the main currency with which all players will transact both in and out of the game. It is currently tradable on various exchanges such as Gate.io, pancake and more, and as of March 31, 2022 is sitting at around $.23. But what can you do with it?

• Buy: Various in-game items will be available for purchase within Dark Frontiers. These assets, such as weapons, items, and other NFTs will usually require some sort of purchase using $DARK and will be available through various channels such as a drops, marketplaces, and in-game shops.
• Stake: Players can chose to stake their $DARK or even provide liquidity to the $DARK pools in order to earn a yield. In this way, the Dark Frontiers ecosystem will allow players to diversify their investment opportunities and grow their $DARK holdings with relative ease.
• Mine: Crystals are a valuable and mineable resource in the Dark Frontiers universe. Players will be able to using their picks to mine crystals in the game or even on their dashboard in order to receive more $DARK.
• Benefit: Holding $DARK will also provide in-game benefits to players through a tiered point system. Hold more tokens, get more rewards like advanced space suit abilities, oxygen refills, and more powerful weapons!
• Vote: Dark Frontiers is also being developed to be a decentralized autonomous organization. This means that the community has a say in what direction the game goes, whether that be to add new game modes and planets, write a script for a Dark Frontiers TV, or whatever else the community might come up with. $DARK will act as your right to vote so anyone can have their voice heard.

NFTs

As a blockchain and play-to-earn game, Dark Frontiers will heavily incorporate the use of non fungible tokens within its ecosystem. While we haven’t divulged all the different NFT uses and mechanisms quite yet, here’s a review of what’s been revealed so far:

• Space Suit: Every player will need a spacesuit to play Dark Frontiers. Players will have the option to either purchase one of the spacesuit NFTs, which have already been released on the Binance Marketplace, or rent them for a period of time to play. Based on the tier level of the NFT, each space suit holds a certain amount of oxygen and grants the wearer various abilities.

• Land: The Dark Frontiers universe is made up of numerous planets and various locations that players will explore. Certain places will actually have plots of land available as NFTs, that players will be able to own. Owning land will allow players to build bases, mine crystals to earn $DARK, unlock special NFT crafting options, and access special events. The first NFT land sale already dropped and sold out fast, but there will be more to come in the future!

• Weapons/Items: You can’t kill aliens without good weapons! Of course all the in-game guns and weaponry will be minted as NFTs as well as other items that you might store in your inventory, and the first weapon is getting ready to drop! Now, space suit owners have the option to stake their NFT for 30 days in order to receive the S05 Defender Pistol. There will be lots more items and weapons to mint coming down the pipeline, so rest assured you will be able to build out quite a substantial arsenal.

• Space Ship: While we haven’t released too much info on the space ships quite yet, they will be an exciting part of the Dark Frontiers gameplay. Later in 2022, players will be able to craft their own space ships to travel the galaxy, flying from planet to planet to explore, fight, and claim land. There will even be a mechanism that allows players to merge spaceships together, burning the originals and minting a more powerful vehicle in their place.

There are lots more surprises and exciting mechanisms coming to the Dark Frontiers’ economy that we can’t wait to share with you. Ultimately, the team is putting together a rich ecosystem that rewards players for their hard work, encourages them to invest and earn, and ultimately allows them to enjoy the game to its fullest.
